SPINTEGRATED MANAGEMENTThe arrival of the new CEO coincides with the beginning of ABCR’s new management, with greater integration between the regions (São Paulo, Curitiba and Brasília), and direct communication. It is a new moment for the association, in which there is a constant effort to reiterate the relevance of concessions for the whole of society and representatives of diverse sectors of the economy.PRDF14STRATEGIC AGENDAIn 2016, ABCR led a series of activities in various spaces in order to reiterate the relevance of infrastructure as one of the bases for the growth of Brazil. With the necessity for urgent investment in the expansion and maintenance of the national highway network and the lack of availability of government resources, the program of concessions presented as the most viable solution, when reconciling private management with public support. Guaranteeing operational ef ciency and con dence in a model of proven success that has existed for more than two decades.With the mission of implementing the association’s strategic agenda, in September 2016, Cesar Borges assumed the position of executive president of ABCR. Borges has accumulated the experience of heading the Ministry of Transport and the National Ports Secretariat from 2013 to 2015. He was governor, senator, and deputy of Bahia. He also held the position of vice president of Banco do Brasil, in charge of the area of infrastructure and responsible for the strategic business of large concession projects.THE AGENDA OF ABCRUnder the leadership of the new CEO, ABCR reiterated its prominence and took the lead in corporate discussions and proposals brought about by the highways concessions sector. Whether in public debates, the press, or in forums with opinion makers. ABCR kept the focus on the defense of the model, from, the guarantee of the rights of the concessionaires in contracts signed after 2013, to the continuity of investments already in existence. Besides, wide-ranging work between the public relationship of ABCR and opinion makers.
