INVESTMENT IN CONSERVATIONRota dos Coqueiros invested approximately R$1.5 million in 2016 in the maintenance and conservation of the Paiva road system, which gives access to, Reserva do Paiva and other beaches along the south coast of Pernambuco. The works included the renovation of the road surface, sidewalks, cycle lanes and kerbs. Drivers save about 30 km along the stretch that also has a 6.5 km long cycle lane that receives a thousand cyclists monthly. It is the  rst public-private partnership (PPP) of Pernambuco.COMFORT FOR USERSIn 2016, Rota das Bandeiras intensi ed investments in special road surface renovation works on the highways D. Pedro I (SP-065) and Prof. Zeferino Vaz (SP-332). The work will continue in 2017 and should add up to another R$100 million of investments for the two highways. Work has also been carried out on the installation of margins along the D. Pedro I, in a stretch of 32 km in Campinas, which will increase traf c capacity in the busiest section of the Dom Pedro Corridor by 66%, thus ensuring more safety and comfort for the highway’s users. In January 2017, two additional lanes were delivered that contribute to the easing of traf c in the region.PROMISING FUTUREThe Rota das Fronteiras concessionaire will manage, from 2017, the PR-323 corridor, between Maringá and Francisco Alves. It is the  rst Public-Private Partnership (PPP) realized in Paraná and marks the beginning of Odebrecht Rodovias’ operations in the state. The concessionaire will be responsible for the maintenance and conservation of approximately 220 km, of which 207 km will be dual carriageways, bene ting 14 municipalities in the region.41
