HIGH LEVEL OF MANAGEMENTWith the commencement of operations in 2016, CART’s Highway Flow Management System, contributed to the better management of the  ow of the highways administered by the concessionaires. Of vital importance for the transportation of freight between the Midwest, South and Southeast Regions. The solution is present at 5 reading points on the highway and on 104 lanes in the toll plazas. The concessionaire won the  rst place in the “Relationship with Society” category at the ARTESP 2016 Awards. In addition to this award, the company was among the  nalists in two other categories - “Road Safety” and “Ef ciency of Services”.AWARENESSThe concessionaire CLN carried out an important action to Combat Child Labor in Traf c, to make motorists and peddlers aware of. the dangers and irregular trade, carried out at toll plazas. Which was supported by the Invepar Institute and various agents. The concessionaire is responsible for BA-099, which connects the city of Lauro de Freitas to the border between the states of Bahia and Sergipe.SUPPORT FOR CULTUREAmongst a series of projects that the LAMSA concessionaire carries out is “A Arte Gerando Renda”. The initiative is developed in the Favela Mundo, within Cidade de Deus, in Rio de Janeiro. It is given, through free workshops for professional training in social make-up, artistic costumes and decorations, handicrafts and nail decoration, for residents of communities which surround Via Expressa.SAFE ROUTEThe year 2016 marked the evolution of road safety indicators of the concessionaire Via 040, with a 29% drop in fatalities from January to June, in comparison to the same period of 2015. In addition to road safety indicators, there was also registered an evolution in services provided to users, with an increase of 41% in medical care and 10% in mechanical assistance. Via 040 has made permanent investments in the recovery, conservation and maintenance of the highway, which is re ected in better asphalt, more ef cient signalling and new safety devices.39
