CONTROL OF WILDLIFEOne of the main links of São Paulo and Minas Gerais, the Fernão Dias Highway, has made important advances in the Program of Monitoring the Hitting by Vehicles of Wildlife (PMAF), through which it monitors and reduces the impacts generated during the operation of the highway, 24 hours a day, along the stretch administered. The concessionaire supplies a database with the numbers of wildlife hit by vehicles, from 2009 to 2016. Based on the analysis of this data, it developed a project on the surrounding area and fauna in relation to the habits of migration and the displacement of fences and other barriers (jumpers, diggers, burglars and climbers). The information will aid awareness campaigns for drivers and road users, planned for 2017, after the approval of the project by IBAMA.MOBILITY AND SECURITYThe concessionaire Autopista Litoral Sul invested about R$ 507 million in the stretch under concession in 2016. Most of the funds went to the construction of Contorno Viário de Florianópolis - a new highway that will have about 50 km, scheduled for 2017. In 2016, About 500 workers worked on the service fronts in order for the implementation of 16 km of trunk road and six interchanges. The concessionaire also executed six interchanges in the metropolitan area of Curitiba, between the municipalities of São José dos Pinhais and Guaratuba, where about 35 thousand vehicles a day circulate, contributing to the improvement of traf c mobility and safety in the region. Another action of 2016 was the recycling of tires and tread collected on the highways under concession of the Litoral Sul by the conservation teams and the transformation into new products such as tire chip, granulated rubber, steel and nylon.27
