28INVESTMENT IN DUAL CARRIAGEWAYSIn 2016, Autopista Fluminense delivered dual carriageways on eight stretches that are part of the 322 km of BR-101 RJ / Norte between Niterói (RJ) and the border between the States of Rio de Janeiro and Espírito Santo, under the management of the concessionaire since 2008.FOREST RESTORATIONOn Autopista Planalto Sul, the investment in 2016 was directed to the restoration activities of 45 hectares of public areas, by the side of the BR-116 / SC. In addition to guaranteeing a commitment to compensatory planting and forest replenishment - environmental licensing requirements - the estimation is to recover 105 Permanent Preservation Areas (APP) along the highway. The objective is to connect and preserve the local ecological corridor, located between the municipalities of Monte Castelo and Santa Cecilia (SC), with the planting of 32 thousand tree species native to the region. The concessionaire invested more than R$300,000 in the construction and adaptation of passages for fauna and in the demarcation of the APPs.WORK COMPLETEThe Autopista Régis Bittencourt advanced in dual carriageway works in the Serra do Cafezal, in its most complex stage. The  nal phase involves the stretch from km 348 to km 363, in a mountainous region between the municipalities of Miracatu and Juquitiba (SP), plus the construction of 4 tunnels and 24 viaducts. About 1,500 people have worked on the project, with a view to completion by 2017. Of the nine stretches, where work began in 2010, four have already been completed,
